The Black Panther ‘Pegasus’ snare features a 7-ply 6.15mm hybrid Maple/Walnut shell. Thinner than the Black Panther Nucleus snare drum, the Pegasus produces a slightly darker sounding character with a mix of sounds from both the maple (more classic and all-purpose sounding) and the walnut (fat and warm). The snare also features rolled SONIClear 45 degree bearing edges, that provide a great amount of attack and sustain that can be controlled to your taste. Like it’s mythological namesake, this drum is grounded but can take flight at a moment’s notice.
